The idea was to keep the overall look and colors intact and add elements to introduce a new “Scream” that covers the whole surface of the artwork. For this effect two eye structures have been put into the artwork (red, blue), the lake was reshaped to form nostrils (pink). The new mouth is the screaming head of the original artwork. The wooden railing (green) was bent to match the figures right hand, forming the new “hand” of the “big face”. The same was done with the bulbous structure on the right to form “his left hand”. In the final artwork, E. MUNCH’s words “kan kun være malet af en gal mand” where placed in the upper left corner. I recreated E. Munch’s handwriting-style for that.
